1. Declaration & Personal Responsibility
I confirm that all information provided in my entry is complete and correct.
I understand and agree that I participate in the Event at my own risk and that I am responsible for my own safety. I confirm that I am medically fit to take part and capable of completing the Event.
I understand that marshals are present to indicate direction only. It is my responsibility to assess whether it is safe to proceed at any point during the Event.
2. Liability
I agree that no liability whatsoever shall attach to the Event organisers, landowners, sponsors, partners, volunteers, or any member of the organising team in respect of any injury, loss, damage, or expense suffered by me as a result of my participation, however caused, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
3. Course Information
Where the course is advertised as “fully marked”, I understand that circumstances beyond the organisers’ control may result in markers being moved or removed.
I agree to familiarise myself with the course in advance. The official route will be provided on the Event website.
4. Results & Data
I consent to the publication of my name, club (if applicable), race category, race number, finishing time, and race position in pre-entry lists and official results.
5. Photography & Media
I understand that photographers will be present on the course and at the Event. I consent to photographs and video footage taken during the Event being used by Taste the Lakes and Mac My Day for publicity, promotional, and reporting purposes.
6.. Refunds & Changes
Entry fees are non-refundable. This is a charity event, and funds raised help raise money to fund research and better treatments for individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
We understand that circumstances can change, so the following options are available:
- Deferral:
Up to two weeks before the event, you may defer your entry to the following year’s Taste the Lakes – Half. - Transfer:
Up to one week before the event, you may transfer your entry to another participant. The new participant must meet all entry requirements and agree to these terms. - Pregnancy:
If you become pregnant after entering the Event, you may choose to defer your entry to the following year or request a refund of your entry fee (excluding any booking or admin fees).
All deferrals and transfers are subject to availability and must be requested by the stated deadlines. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance on the day.

By entering the Event, you agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct:
- Leave no litter.
- Carry any mandatory kit if requested.

- When overtaking, alert the runner ahead before passing.
- If you hear a runner approaching from behind, allow space where safe to do so.
- As a general rule when passing, announce “on your left”.
