Taste the Lakes is made for anyone who fancies an off-road adventure with a side of flavour, not a stopwatch. Our 13-mile circular route winds through the gorgeous trails of Greystoke Castle Farm into Greystoke Forest, rolling over gentle climbs, swooping descents, and one steady uphill early on.
You'll set off, and finish, in the stunning grounds of Greystoke Castle.
Who Can Take Part?
We welcome walkers, runners, and everyone in between, but there is a 5½ hour cut-off time to keep the day moving.
Please note: this is an over-18s event due to alcohol being served at some of the tasting stops.
Along the Way
Refreshment Stops
You'll find 12 refreshment stops, with six offering water as well as delicious Lakes treats. If you prefer your own fuel, just bring it with you.
Facilities
Toilets will be available at two points on the course for comfort breaks.
At The Finish Line
You'll earn a wooden medal that doubles as a coaster — a little slice of the Lakes you can take home and use long after the adventure ends.
